Job description:

We are looking for experienced Lighting Technical Directors to join Jimsonweed Studios’ creative team and contribute to high-end film and episodic productions. This is a hybrid technical and artistic role, responsible for the final assembly, lighting and rendering of shots, ensuring that all elements come together coherently and at the highest cinematic quality. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in scene setup and rendering with artistic judgment in lighting, mood and visual continuity. Working within a structured production pipeline, this role collaborates closely with VFX Supervision, Lookdev, FX and Compositing to deliver final images that meet both creative and technical standards.

Responsibilities:

Assemble and manage complex scenes for feature films and high-end episodic projects, compiling assets, FX, caches and data into production-ready shots. Design and deliver high-quality lighting and rendering that supports storytelling, atmosphere and visual continuity. Work closely with Lookdev, FX and Compositing teams to ensure assets and simulations are correctly integrated and lit. Optimize scenes and renders for quality, performance and production efficiency. Manage shots through all stages of production, responding efficiently to feedback and iterations. Ensure lighting setups, scene assembly and renders comply with pipeline standards, color management requirements and delivery specifications. Troubleshoot technical, data-related or artistic issues while working under production deadlines.
